About OdoTax

We build the thing that counts the miles.

Self-employed people lose real money every year for a dull reason: nobody writes down the driving. So we made something that writes it down — quietly, in the background, without being asked.

Why it existsThe short version

Almost everyone who drives for work means to track the mileage. Almost nobody manages it every time. By April the notebook is half empty, the deduction becomes a guess, and miles that were genuinely driven go unclaimed — not because the rules are hard, but because writing things down at the moment you park is not something people do.

Every app that promised to fix it still asked you to remember to press start — which is the exact part people are bad at. So OdoTax was built around a single rule: if it needs you to remember, it is broken. It notices the car moving, records the four facts a mileage log has to show, and gets out of the way.

Most tax software is built for the paperwork. We build for the drive. A mileage app you never think about is the one that still has a full year in it come April.

What we believe

Three rules behind every release

Invisible beats clever

The best feature is the one you never touch. If OdoTax needs you to remember something, that is a bug in OdoTax, not in you.

Your data earns you money

We keep the records that make a deduction hold up and nothing else. You can export them or delete them at any time.

Plain English, always

Tax is confusing enough. The app, the help pages and even the legal ones are written to be read once and understood.

Turn the miles you already drive into money you keep.

Switch OdoTax on once. It does the rest, for as long as you drive for work.
