How do I export a log for my taxes?
Make the report
- In OdoTax, open the Reports tab
- Under Start from a period, tap the one you need — the last tax year, a quarter, the year so far — or tap New report for any other dates
- Choose All drives, Business or Personal, and a vehicle if you drive more than one
- Tap Create report
OdoTax opens the new report straight away: it reads Creating your report… for a few seconds, then shows the total and the drives. It stays under Your reports too.

In the browser
The web account makes the same reports, with a larger screen for checking a whole year:
- Sign in at my.odo.tax and open Reports
- Click one of the periods offered, or New report for any other dates
- Choose the drives and the vehicles; a title, who the report is for and a note are optional
- Click Create report
- Open it under Your reports and click PDF or CSV
Leave out warnings, under PDF details, makes the PDF without the notes about business drives that have no purpose — for when those drives are already explained somewhere else.
One list of reports
Reports made on the phone and in the browser are the same list: one made on the web is on your phone too, and the other way round.
PDF or CSV
Every report comes as both. The PDF is the log to keep and to hand to an accountant; the CSV is the same drives as a spreadsheet, for tax software or your own sums. Reports are on the free plan too — but drives locked by the free plan’s monthly limit are left out of both files, and the PDF says how many.
Drives kept by hand
For a car OdoTax does not record, or the weeks before you installed it, a paper log works too. The printable mileage log has the columns the IRS asks for, one line a drive, and a CSV has the same columns for a spreadsheet. A mileage log template, and why each column is there explains each one.
