The distance looks wrong
Why it comes out short
Distance is added up from the points the phone recorded along the way. Where the signal is lost — a tunnel, a parking garage — the gap is counted as a straight line, so the drive comes out a little short, never long. The line on the map is fitted to the roads afterwards; the miles are not changed by it.
Tell us about it
- Open the drive and tap its map
- Tap Report an issue at the top
- Pick what is wrong: Location, Route or Time
A person looks at the drive. The miles of a recorded drive cannot be edited — they are what the phone measured, and that is what makes the log worth something.

A drive you add yourself
A drive added by hand is measured along the road between its two ends. In the app you can change the distance before saving, if you went another way.
