What does a red row in Tracking configuration mean?

Why: Android stopped odo’s background service — usually after an update, a force-stop, or a battery saver of the phone maker’s. Fix: tap Start it. If it keeps stopping, check Battery optimization and Autostart below.
Location access — Denied
Why: odo was never allowed location, or it was taken away. Without it no drive can be recorded at all. Fix: tap Enable, or in the iPhone’s Settings → Apps → odo → Location, pick Always.

Why: location is switched off for the whole phone, not just for odo. Fix: tap Open settings and turn location on.

Why: odo cannot use Motion & Fitness, so it notices drives later — sometimes a mile or two in. Fix: tap Enable, or turn on Motion & Fitness in Settings → Apps → odo.

Detection still works. You just are not told when a drive is ready to classify. Fix: tap Enable.
Battery optimization — Restricted
Why: Android is allowed to pause odo in the background to save power, and a paused odo cannot notice a drive starting. Fix: tap Fix it and choose Unrestricted.
Autostart
Only on Xiaomi, Huawei, Oppo, Vivo and similar phones, which keep their own list of apps allowed to start by themselves; Android cannot tell odo whether it is on the list, so the row stays grey. Fix: tap Open the list and turn odo on.
Battery saver — On
On an iPhone this is Low Power Mode, which can slow background work. Fix: if drives go missing while it is on, turn it off when you drive — Settings → Battery.

Battery savers differ from phone to phone: where it leaves a recording drive alone, the row stays green and reads On — location not limited. Fix: turn it off when you drive, or tap Open settings.
