Drives and sorting

How do I save my home, office and client places?

Shown on Android

What a named place does

A named place is your name for an address you drive to often: home, the office, a client. Drives that start or end there show the name instead of the street address, and naming a place renames the drives already recorded there too. The kind matters: Home and Work are what the commute suggestions and the business suggestions go by. Reports still print each drive’s address.

Add a place

  1. Sign in at my.odo.tax and open Settings → Named places
  2. Click Add place
  3. Pick a Kind, type a Name, and start typing the Address to pick it from the suggestions
  4. Click Add place

Whatever the kind, pick the address from the suggestions or set the spot on the map: a place names drives only when it has a point on the map, and a typed address alone gives it none. No street address? Click No address? Drop a pin and move the map until the pin sits on the spot. Map, beside List, shows all your places at once.

Add a place

Name it from a drive

  1. In Trips, click a drive to open it at the side
  2. Click its start or its end
  3. Pick a Kind, type a Name and click Save place

An end that already has a name opens that place, to rename it.

Change or delete a place

In Settings → Named places, click the place. Change what you need and click Save changes, or click Remove. A new name reaches the drives there too. Once a place is removed, they show the address again.
