Can I split or merge drives?

Round trips

A drive that ends within about 200 meters of where it began is shown as a round trip — “went out and came back” — rather than as a journey from A to B. That is usually what you meant.

Splitting one

When a round trip should really be two legs, split it at the turnaround — the point farthest from where you started:

1. Open the drive and tap …
2. Tap Ungroup round trip
3. Tap Ungroup

Both legs keep the classification, vehicle and purpose; parking and tolls stay with the way out. A drive with too little of its route recorded to find the turnaround cannot be split.

What about merging

There is no merge by hand, because the phone does it: a drive that starts within 10 minutes and 300 meters of where the last one ended, in the same vehicle, is joined to it — a stop for fuel does not cut a trip in two. If a drive still came out in pieces, send a message with the date and a person will look.
