If you never set a password
An account made with Google, Apple or an emailed code has no password you know, and closing asks for one. Set one first: Settings → Security → Password → Set a password by email.
Subscriptions
A plan paid on the site stops at the end of the period already paid for. A Google Play subscription is cancelled for you where Google allows it; if it refuses, odo sends you to the Play Store to cancel it there. An App Store subscription has to be cancelled first — only Apple can stop Apple’s billing — and odo tells you so before it closes anything.
Thirty days to change your mind
Closing signs you out everywhere at once, and 30 days later the account is removed for good: its drives, reports and map pictures with it. Until then, the link in the email odo sends, or simply signing in again, reopens it as it was.
Signing in to a closed account shows This account is closed, with the date it goes. Reopen my account brings it back as it was — drives, vehicles, reports — and a plan with paid time left comes back with it. Leave it closed goes back without reopening anything.
