How do I pause tracking?

Pausing

Auto-tracking can sleep for a set time. While it does, nothing is detected or recorded — you can still add a drive by hand:

1. In OdoTax, open Settings → Pause auto-tracking
2. Pick how long: For 1 hour, For 4 hours, Until tomorrow 9am, or For the rest of today (the next 12 hours)

A drive under way when you pause ends there. The pause belongs to your account, so every phone signed in to it pauses.

Coming back

Tracking resumes by itself when the time is up. To come back early, the same row reads Paused — resume; tap it, then Resume now. Home shows the pause too, with a Resume button, so a quiet log never turns out to be a forgotten switch.

Switching it off

Settings → Auto-tracking turns detection off until you turn it back on. Pausing is usually what you want: it cannot be forgotten.

Pausing is done in the app — it is about what the phone does. Open Settings → Pause auto-tracking on the phone.
